FLOW BOULEVARD
"OPPORTUNITY CORRIDOR” : The Flow Boulevard system provides the best solution for an “Opportunity Corridor” that LA City Planning requires. The Flow Boulevard is a low cost, quickly developed mobility improvement that can secure the better future for your community. Affordable and market housing with a better community through community participation in planning can be made. Send your comment or question, so an informative Q and A presentation can be made for your particular community in this ten mile corridor. The continuous flowing traffic phase (one quarter of the signal cycle), gets the through traffic “out of the way” so the community use with stop and go traffic (three quarters of the signal cycle) has the use of the street for local business and service use in the community. Limits on development are also a subject for good planning. Find out what the Opportunities can be in reviving and shaping the community you desire.

Bus Rapid Transit and additional housing are combined as a winning combination for improvement in the LA Basin with the use of the LA City Program called “Opportunity Corridors”. This transportation improvement is with transit also to be used to support the additional housing called for by the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA, both of which can redevelop communities and create socio-economic benefit for people in the LA Basin and for those that commute to work or visit there.
The corridors can use the newly invented multi-modal (all kinds of vehicles) roadway improvement called Flow Boulevard, to serve and provide additional capacity. Over the long term additional capacity is needed for the additional commuters and the growing corridor travel demand from higher density within the communities that they serve.

In the animation you will see that Zero Emission EV Bus Rapid Transit can be made in certain existing narrow boulevards without taking curb lane parking for bus stops and for other vehicular parking that gains access to adjacent land use, shops and services. The animation shows a flowing future rush hour traffic condition some 30 or more years from now where the additional housing in the improved communities have been provided with the additional BRT capacity so there is not congestion which brings forth excessive CO2 emissions and traffic delays. Corridors must be secured now through planning so the future improved communities have the required transportation network that is necessary for their proper function.
