FLOW BOULEVARD
OVERVIEW : The Objective here is to get the LA City Planning Opportunities Corridor Program to make a better future plan in the CD 13 communities in the Historic Route 66 corridor from DTLA to West Hollywood to avoid decline. The above Banner shows elements of improved multi-modal mobility as well as affordable transit which is required for the LA City Program and will support needed affordable and market new housing as well. Below is a new animation showing affordable housing on part of a Flow Boulevard Couplet in Hollywood. Below that are three self operated slide shows that analyze issues in three different communities in the Historic Route 66 corridor. Phillip@flowblvd.com

Bus Rapid Transit and additional housing are combined as a winning combination for improvement in the LA Basin with the use of the LA City Program called “Opportunity Corridors”. This transportation improvement is with transit also to be used to support the additional housing called for by the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA, both of which can redevelop communities and create socio-economic benefit for people in the LA Basin and for those that commute to work or visit there.
The corridors can use the newly invented multi-modal (all kinds of vehicles) roadway improvement called Flow Boulevard, to serve and provide additional capacity. Over the long term additional capacity is needed for the additional commuters and the growing corridor travel demand from higher density within the communities that they serve.

In the animation you will see that Zero Emission EV Bus Rapid Transit can be made in certain existing narrow boulevards without taking curb lane parking for bus stops and for other vehicular parking that gains access to adjacent land use, shops and services. The animation shows a flowing future rush hour traffic condition some 30 or more years from now where the additional housing in the improved communities have been provided with the additional BRT capacity so there is not congestion which brings forth excessive CO2 emissions and traffic delays. Corridors must be secured now through planning so the future improved communities have the required transportation network that is necessary for their proper function.
